A New Craft For Eve (1922)

Making wax beads. C/U of a woman placing a small piece of sealing wax on a pin. She heats it over a flame and presses it into shape. Using different coloured wax she puts a pattern on the bead. The bead is cooled in a bowl of water. Several beads are threaded on to a string. A longer necklace previously prepared is shown to the camera. “Eve“ puts the necklace on. Wax painting is demonstrated. Wax is dissolved in methylated spirits and applied with an ordinary paint brush to a small box. A range of items decorated with sealing wax are presented to the camera.
