Kim gifts Putin rare Korean hunting dogs

Russian President Vladimir Putin was paws-itively delighted at his latest gift from Democratic People’s Republic of Korea leader Kim Jong-un – a pair of adorable dogs. The dogs are of the Pungsan breed, named for the former Pungsan County (now Kimhyonggwon County). They are bred from wolves, a tradition going back hundreds of years, and are almost completely unheard of outside Korea. The few lucky enough to obtain one, however, appreciate them as exceptional hunting dogs. They can even hunt bears.
