Transform Ordinary Cardboard into Graceful Porcelain: Candy Jar Decoupage Tutorial

MATERIALS ā€¢ Cardboard box with lid: Decopatch ā€¢ Wooden knob ā€¢ Padico Hearty soft clay, white (to mold the ornaments) ā€¢ Quick-dry Tacky Glue (to fix molded ornaments and wooden knob) ā€¢ Alcohol-based varnish: Creartec Schellack ā€¢ Wood primer: White Gesso ā€¢ Acrylic paint: Solo Goya, ivory ā€¢ Patination paint: Pentart Lasurgel, country blue ā€¢ Glossy acrylic wood varnish: Aquaclou Holzlack ā€¢ Metallic-gold wax: Stamperia Cerantica ā€¢ Silicone molds: Cesil Professional TIPS ā€¢ Dilute acrylic varnish: mix together 90% varnish and 10% water ā€¢ Allow each layer of paint or varnish to dry naturally, without using a dryer ā€¢ When applying Schellack (an alcohol-based varnish), let it dry for 2 days to ensure proper adhesion and finish. ā€¢ Apply 1 to 3 layers of acrylic paint depending on its coverage ā€¢ After applying gold wax, allow it to dry for at least 1 week before polishing for optimal results.
