Resin Casting Tutorial： Creating a Marble Effect Using Urethane Plastic

Overview - Creating a realistic cast marble effect is possible with Smooth-Cast® 325 liquid plastic. The process begins with one master quantity of Smooth-Cast® 325 casting resin. A small fraction of this master batch is portioned off for veining. For the master mixture of resin, Ure-Fil® 7 is mixed with Smooth-Cast® 325 casting resin until the mixture is thick and creamy. A very small amount of this mixture is then quickly portioned off and then mixed with SO-Strong® colorant, used to create the veining effect commonly found in marble. The veining batch is then drizzled back into the master batch in a marble like pattern. The master batch is then poured into the mold.
