Prelude in D minor - BWV 999

Prelude in D minor - BWV 999 This piece was composed by the German composer Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750) between 1710 and 1720. It was intended to be played on the German lute. It is written in a melodic style called a ‹prelude›. Bach composed the Prelude in which a single instrument begins playing by way of an introduction to the orchestral performance. I have studied the piece with the aim of playing it on the oud. This has required me to carefully study the correct finger movements and positions that will allow for the optimum method of playing these musical notes. This is aimed at ensuring that this piece can be played properly on the oud. I also composed a cadenza to precede the piece. The cadenza is a written ornamental passage played or sung by a soloist, usually in a free rhythmic style. The piece is performed on several instruments, such as the piano, the guitar and the German lute. استهلال لم
