Germany: “We need nurses, not security“ - lockdown opponents march in Erfurt

Follow us on Telegram: Subscribe to our channel! Dozens of protesters marched through Erfurt on Sunday, protesting against the government’s restrictions in connection with the spread of COVID-19. Protesters lit candles and carried banners reading “We need nursing personnel“, among others, as they marched through Erfurt’s city centre. The protest comes after Thuringia’s authorities have imposed restrictions on public life since November to curb the spread of COVID-19, including 2G rules in retail, hotels and restaurants and nightly curfews for the unvaccinated, among other measures. Thuringia currently faces 45,725 active coronavirus infections with a decreasing capacity of ICU beds.
