For my popular ‘crinkle’ scarves I use a direct application of Fiber Reactive Dyes to create blending colourful stripes.
******IMPORTANT NOTES:********
****For info on how to mix the dyes see this video:
****Scarves have to set, covered in plastic to keep them damp, for at least 6 hours - usually I leave them overnight before rinsing.
***** Ideally for this you should use 5mm silk - pongee or habotai as it’s fine enough to dye through the 8 layers.
I leave the scarves crinkly for a more casual look. The colour combinations are endless!
