Drum Tuning Fundamentals with Aaron Serfaty

Aaron Serfaty takes us through his drum tuning PROCESS ... and I write “PROCESS“ in all caps because I want to emphasis that that is what it is. It’s not just slap the heads on, turn the screws x amount of times in a star pattern, and you’re done. There’s a little more to how he does it, and that little bit of difference makes a big difference in how and why he gets the drums to sound so great! When I studied with Aaron at USC, he taught me so much about music and drums, and how to tune drums for the music. Not only is he an incredible musician and teacher, he is truly a one of a kind, genuine person, as you will see.
