My help comes from the Lord3 Psalm 27:9 Do not hide your face from me, do not turn your servant away in anger; you have been my helper. Do not reject me or forsake me, God my Savior. As we look at Psalms 27 verse 9 we understand a greater reality of David, David who was a king, a prophet, a worshiper, a warrior, a musician, David was a man after God’s Own Heart. and God loved David and favored him as David loved God. David understood the importance of complete dependence and trust in God. David understood going from a lowly Shepherd boy to King over the nation of Israel, that God was his helper, his sustainer, has provided, his healer, that if God can take him from tending to a few sheep and put him over the whole nation of Israel then nothing is impossible for God to do to us through us and for us my prayer for each of us may we display the same kind of trust in God, dependence on God, and appreciation of God’s goodness in our lives.
