The Cup Of Joy (1927)

Item title reads: “The cup of joy. Crowd of 150,000 throng streets when Fred Keenor and City Team come home in triumph with the Cup.“ Cardiff, Wales The team parade through the streets on a large open topped motor vehicle (a fire tender?). The cup is held aloft. There is a massive crowd and the police escort the vehicle on its way. We see a high angle shot with the Pathe cameraman riding on a vehicle in front of the team. We see that he has to stop as his shots are obscured by an unruly police horse. The crowd cheer like mad at the team. Note: Interesting to see how it wasn’t easy for the cameramen to get those all important close ups. FILM ID: A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ. EXPLORE OUR ONLINE CHANNEL, BRITISH PATHÉ TV.
