Harold Wilson - Vietnam heckler incident

Probably the most famous political heckle of all time, but only for the immediate shutdown. Video Source - “The Hecklers“ - Abridged context: In a public meeting during the 1966 General Election campaign, Prime Minister Harold Wilson was interrupted by a member of the electorate concerned over the Vietnam War - At the time the Vietnam War was intensifying, and the British public were vehemently against British military involvement. Ultimately through his premiership, Wilson was against British troops on the ground, which led to a somewhat strained relationship with President Lyndon B Johnson. Wilson walked a fine line between being seen as sympathetic towards American involvement whilst still trying to keep a close relationship.
