Half Life 1 - Ray Tacing MOD On/ Off Comparison | RTX 4090

Hey everyone, the excellent modding community (sultim_t) just came out with a ray tracing mod for the original Half Life (1998)! I wanted to see what it looked like with the mod enabled and disabled so figured why not make a video of the difference inside the facility! Sub if you like this stuff. I’m always surprised how well they hold up when a new lighting engine is applied. There are times where it looks like a brand new game! This mod is a GPU DESTROYER though, i get about 55 fps in 4K without DLSS. Not bad for a 25 year old game!
