As I write these words, I realize the pun for the first time because TUU in Altai means ’mountain.’ The title TUU is not just a tribute to Altai but also the leitmotif of the entire album. After completing the record, I realized that the melodies of vocals and instruments resemble a mountain silhouette: they all have an ascent, a peak, and a symmetrical descent. I experienced the same Altai mountains constantly while writing the album: elevated mood, everything’s beautiful, and then suddenly a sharp drop and hitting rock bottom. In general, the mountain spirit deeply permeated my life and music. I dream that you’ll put on headphones, go to the park or the forest, and listen to the album from the first song to the outro.
