45th Anniversary, Intake 153, Rhodesia Regiment, 10th June 1976 – 10th June 2021

Members of 153 intake went on to serve in highly specialised combat units, RLI, SAS, Selous Scouts including artillery, armoured cars, medical corps to mention just a few. This will explain the images of many different regiments and not least the Rhodesian African Rifles. These African soldiers made up a substantial number of our forces and also served in highly specialised combat units as brothers in arms. The bulk of 153 intake went on to serve in 1 Independent Company under the respected Major Don Price. A leader who was inspirational and unconventional that characterised our ability to hit the enemy hard against much greater odds. This 45th year anniversary is in recognition of those who gave their lives and to the many badly wounded who live with the severe injuries of war.
