Setting a Brand New Hi Rail Truck on Track for the First Time

See how to set a Hi Rail Truck on track. This is the first time this brand new truck has ever been on the rails. We gonna load some bridge approach timbers on the truck before we set it on track. Bridge approach timbers are 10 feet in length. There are typically 4 to 5 of those long timbers just before and just after the bridge before the regular ties are started. That longer length helps hold track surface up to the bridge grade because as they are longer you can tamp more ballast under the ends of the timbers.
