Police Shoot Woman After Pointing a Replica Handgun at Officers

** (Disclaimer: This video content is intended for educational and informational purposes only) ** Lake Forest, California — Orange County Sheriff’s Department released a dashcam footage, of the fatal shooting of a Lake Forest woman who flashed a replica toy gun at deputies who responded to her 911 call. Sunshine Salac, 28, was shot last June 24 in the 22000 block of Loumont Drive. Salac called 911 about 1 a.m. to falsely report an intruder in her home, and that she and her boyfriend were hiding. The 911 call is included in the sheriff’s account. Arriving deputies contacted a woman across the street from the home where the caller reported the burglary. Salac was dressed in all black and had the hood of her sweatshirt pulled up over her head. One Deputy drew his weapon and illuminated Salac with his flashlight.
