Meet Mexico’s weed ’nuns’ taking the plant back from the narcos
A group of Mexican weed ‘nuns’ have dedicated their business towards the “healing powers“ of cannabis.
Despite their clothing, the women are not catholic or of any other religion, but from a group called ‘Sisters of the Valley, who promote the medical benefits of cannabis.
Mexico has been ravaged by drug wars between rival cartels and the group feels the image of a cannabis-smoking nun is more an act of rebellion against crime syndicates.
