Spain: Taxi drivers’ strike turns violent as protests continue in Madrid

Subscribe to our channel! Clashes erupted between protesters and riot police in Madrid on Thursday, as taxi-drivers hit the streets of the Spanish capital for the fourth consecutive day of protest. Police arrested a number of demonstrators as they blockaded streets and set tires alight. Around thirty drivers briefly blocked Madrid’s M-40 beltway near the Ifema convention centre earlier in the morning, where a major tourism fair is currently taking place.
