And if you’re like me, youll really wonder what happened to him as a child, that he doesnt talk about? He is NOTHING like the characters he played. As is usually the case. There are moments where he discusses nearly dying and some very troubling moments in his life. I don’t want to spoil the book too much as there’s so much to digest in here. Some may feel sorry for Perry. He had a rough childhood and hard times. Some may dislike the misogyny, narcissism, victim mode, spoiled celebrity aspect. Some may see Perry as a rich, famous, privileged male who got everything he wanted and it still wasn’t enough for him. But whichever side you’re on, you’ll definitely learm a lot about Perry AND the imdustry. Perry believed that he had no choice and no control over his addiction. He referred to it as a disease that he could not battle. Accordimg to him, this was something being done TO him and NOT something that HE was doing.
