All the Songs from the 2003 MuchMusic Countdown

This is a rundown of every hit song present on the MuchMusic Countdown in 2003. Let’s bring some Canadiana to nostalgia playlists! These have been my pet projects for a while because I’m a bit obsessed with old-school MuchMusic/can-con in general. In 2003 we’ve got a bit of everything: a new king and queen of pop in Justin and Beyonce, hip hop was all about the club and had a sense of humour, pop punk got its own boy bands in Simple Plan and Good Charlotte, rock gets angsty with Linkin Park and Evanescence, a bunch of Avril-styled edgier teen girl popstars, and the emergence of some Canadian rock staples like Billy Talent and Three Days Grace. For some reason this year features the lowest number of songs on any year of the Much countdown other than 2017 when it ended, but man, a lot of them are bangers.
