The formation’s reconnaissance officers, using objective video monitoring equipment, detected the target and transmitted the coordinates to the control point. Having received the task of destroying the target, the ATGM crew of the Russian paratroopers, under the cover of darkness, quickly moved to the outskirts of the city, where they took up a firing position on one of the high-rise buildings. With an accurate launch of a guided missile from an ATGM installation, anti-tank paratroopers hit a dugout containing a group of Ukrainian Armed Forces infantry. After the defeat of the enemy, in order to avoid return fire from the Ukrainian Armed Forces units, the crew immediately turned down the launcher and changed the firing position.
