The French Tango (1927)

The French Tango is demonstrated by Miss Barbara Miles and Mr Maxwell Stewart - World Dance Champions 1924-25. “Everywhere we hear about the new French Tango, so we asked Miss Miles and Mr Stewart to show our Patrons just how it is being danced.“ Picturesque shot of Miss Miles sitting in the Pathe Studio with an elaborate statue and archways behind her. She dips her hand in a constructed pond. Mr Stewart arrives and asks her to dance. They tango behind the pond. “Now, a little closer view, demonstrating more slowly the steps.“ C/U of the couples’ feet as they dance. “Next week, we will show our Patrons in more detail the consecutive steps of this fascinating but simple Tango“ Was an item in Eve’s Film Review - issue unknown.
