New Zealand North Shore

The North Shore is located in the Auckland area of New Zealand. It borders to the east the Hauraki Gulf, to the west West Auckland, to the south Waitematā Harbour and in Central Auckland. For the best time to explore the walk from Maungauika/North Head to Takapuna and Milford, it’s best to go with low tide. It’s possible to do most of the journey near the water at that time of day. The trip will pass along Cheltenham and Narrow Neck Beaches, through St Leonards Bay and around to Takapuna Beach. This stunning trail takes you on a walk that journey’s past significant coastal architecture and geological sites all against a stunning coastal backdrop. It starts at Takapuna Beach and takes about 2 hours to complete at normal walking pace. Stopping points are highlighted for your convenience. If you love the water, there are plenty of opportunities for taking a break from the navigable waters of Lake Pupuke and The Hauraki Gulf. You can hire motorized or non-motorized boats, kayaks, SUPS. There are also activities like diving or fishing. Browns Bay is one of the most northern suburbs in Auckland. Located in the East Coast Bays area, it’s one of the Northermost suburbs in the North Shore and is surrounded by water on three sides. MAIRANGI BAY. This lovely Mairangi Bay beach and reserve have an amazing views of Rangitoto, Rakino and Tiritiri Matangi islands. It stretches from Whitby Crescent in the south to Murrays Bay Beach Reserve in the north. You can access the reserve from Whitby Crescent, Sidmouth Street, and Bournemouth, Montrose and Brighton terraces. There is a barbecue at the southern end by the Mairangi Bay Surf Lifesaving Club, seating and picnic tables, a boat ramp, and swings inside the reserve. Following the 5km Campbells to Murrays Bay Path along the coast and enjoy the views. There are also many shops and restaurants, where you can go shopping or enjoy a good meals either western or chinese foods there. You can also visit the open-market in the town area at North-shore.
