Day 8 | DIY Sled and Ski Ornaments

Hi, thanks for watching. Craft Sticks (4.5” x ”) Scissors Pencil Paintbrush Paint (Red, Brown, & White) Wood Glue Toothpick Sandpaper Glue Gun Ruler Skewers Brown Felt String/Twine For one sled ornament, you ‘ll need two 2.5” sticks, two 3” sticks, two 4.5” sticks, three ” sticks, & one ” stick. Mark the two 4.5” sticks, ” apart, 3 times. Add wood glue on the ” marks and attach the ” sticks. It will look like a ladder. After it dries, paint it brown & the 5 remaining pieces red. Center the two 3” sticks with the three middle sticks. The 2.5” sticks go on the ends. (Add gaps between your sticks.) Align the straight ends with a spare craft stick. Glue your pieces. Add the ” stick on the other side of the spare craft stick. Knot string to the ” stick. Add white paint to edges (to act as snow) & your sled is done. For the ski ornament, you’ll need two 3.5” craft sticks and two 3.5” skewers. Sand any rough edges. Cut 4 square pieces of brown felt (two at ” & two at 0.5”). Paint the skewers brown. Poke the skewer through the center of the 0.5” felt and glue it about a 0.5” down. Trim the corners to create a circle & repeat this with the other skewer. Roll & glue the ” felt to the other end. Paint the craft sticks red and add snowflakes. Add glue to the center of the sticks & create an x. Repeat this with the skewers. Tie string around the middle of the sticks & skewers. Then, add a bow.
