“Frosty The Snowman” (Walter ““Jack““ Rollins / Steve Nelson) by Mike Jones
Frosty The Snowman was written shortly after the success of Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer and subsequently recorded by Gene Autry in 1950 who was searching for another holiday season hit song. Frosty, just like Rudolph, was adapted to a holiday television special that endures in popularity to this day.
Other popular versions of Frosty were recorder in 1950 by Jimmy Durante, Nat King Cole, and Guy Lombardo. The Durante version can be heard in the Frosty television soundtrack.
Other notable artists have also covered the song including Perry Como, Johnny Mathis, and the Jackson 5.
