Welcome back to the Our MJ MEMOIRS - Lost Tape Series - Volume 4 Sometime in the 80’s Michael Jackson sat down with an unknown biographer to record his memoirs for his first autobiography, Moonwalk: A Memoir Key talking points in Volume 4: 00:10 - 01:05 Michael Jackson talks about meeting his two favorite child actors Spanky McFarlane and Freddie Bartholomew, both were entranced that Michael knew who they were, when they thought they were forgotten. Spanky McFarlane, in fact, credited Michael for helping him get his career back on track. 01:05 - 01:25 MJ comments that the saddest thing that could happen is if someone tried to cheat him, noting that he wouldn’t go for that. He’s “too smart for that.“ 01:25 - 3:20 MJ talks about drugs that circulate Hollywood and how he was unaffected when asked, “Would you give in like Elvis did to all these vices.? Michael responds, “I know that’s not gonna happen.” “There’s probably not one who has done it, that‘s had my success and not been affected by that stuff. “Those are the things people don’t write about. You just name them and they’ve done it. “I haven’t even tried it, or sniffed cocaine. “Some people say “I tried it but I don’t do it, and I did it once and I don’t like it.’ I ain’t even tried it. People have done it in front of me offered to me , friends of mine. Does it offend you.? “I think it’s stupid and ignorant. “ 3:20 - 4:29 Looking through photographs of Michael during his Off The Wall tour MJ talks about not being satisfied – says that tourn wasn’t big enough “I am not satisfied I want to do stadiums. I got to have the biggest album of all time. “Wants biggest-selling single of all time. I always dreamed dreams and they’ve come true for me“ I’ve been fortunate and good at that. 4:29 - 6:31 Michael says 1984 Victory tour will be his last tour “This is it. This is definitely it. “ Solo tour “I don’t think so” Not interested in doing broadway like Diana Ross 6:31- 7:16 Michael insists that he would not continue to tour after Off The Wall and will instead, do that he REALLY wants to do; Films His love for acting in films started when he did The Wiz “It makes me happy as I’m going nto films as it’s what I really want to do. Especially when I did the Wiz - it felt so good. MJ again says his retirement will be in 1984. He will become an actor with Marlon Brando teaching him. He eerily says “This is it.” 7:16 - 8:41 Michael continues to talk about another dream of his that came true, meeting Marlon Brando and having him as an acting teacher. Michael says, “He has never taught anybody in his whole career. “Miko told me this is something. Marlon called me up and said I wanna work with you – I want to be a part of your career and teach you things. Movies are my number one dream” 8:41 - 8:53 MJ jokes about another lifelong dream; to be a pimp “I’d like to be a pimp. A pimp on the street. He laughs” 9:14 - 9:43 MJ talks about his number one dream to live on a paradise earth, where there is no death. When asked if Michael was afraid of death, he responds, “I don’t want to see it 9:43 - 10:30 This segment ends with Michael talking about spending time with his mother, Mrs Katherine Jackson.
