Israeli-Palestinian Conflict Chronicles: November 23-24, 2023

️🇮🇱🇵🇸 Israeli-Palestinian Conflict Chronicles: November 23-24, 2023 The first attempt to establish a ceasefire on Thursday morning failed. Clashes and strikes in the Gaza Strip continued, although with reduced intensity. Several skirmishes occurred in the north of the enclave, near Beit Hanoun. Additionally, fighting persisted at the Netzarim junction in the southern part of the IDF zone of control. However, the ceasefire did come into effect on Friday morning. Nevertheless, there were violations of the ceasefire: in the north of the enclave, the IDF fired at refugees attempting to return to their homes. Large numbers of trucks carrying humanitarian aid began entering the Gaza Strip through the Rafah checkpoint. In total, approximately 150 trucks loaded with food, medicine, and fuel arrived. The long-awaited hostage exchange also took place: Hamas released 13 Israelis and 11 Thai workers, setting them free at the Rafah checkpoint. In return, the Israelis released 39 Palestinians from Ofer prison in the West Bank. Riots broke out outside Ofer prison as Palestinian prisoners awaited their release. Israeli security forces dispersed the crowd using stun grenades and injured a child in the leg with rubber bullets. On the eve of the truce taking effect, the intensity of strikes on the Israeli-Lebanese border significantly increased. Hezbollah attacked IDF positions at least 20 times, marking the highest number of attacks since the beginning of the conflict. #digest #Israel #Palestine #video Источник: Rybar in English
