The cortege then goes to the town hall where speeches are made from the balcony. Various shots of envoys of General Salan in Corsica, Colonel Thomazo and Mr Delbeck visits the local committee. Various shots after the arrival at the Prefect’s residence, Bastia a communist counter demonstration broke out, the Mayor who had refused to join the committee came out of Town Hall with his councillors.
