Mini Bio - Mozart

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart is one of worlds most famous classical composers. Born in Austria, in January 1756, his father was a successful composer, violinist and assistant concert master, introducing Mozart to music at a very early age. By age five he began composing for piano, and the child genius reputation grew, as he travelled with his family across Europe, performing noble audiences. Only by 1773 did he return to Salzburg and settled back, continuing to compose. But soon after moved to Vienna, were he married and composed prolifically. Although successful, his extravagant life style led him to financial troubles and becoming sick. To try and have a more stable income he applied for the court of the Austrian Emperor, but they favored Italian music, which made him have to work extra hard to succeed. Mozart dies at age 35, being considered one of the greatest musicians in History.
