Shag dancers & The Schwings Band feat. Migloko

A little collaboration project between Vilnius dancers and the local swing band. *** Rokas Borusevicius and Simona Pogosian started teaching St. Louis Shag Dance in 2014 and since then they’ve gathered a group on enthusiasts whom they love to practice with together or simply share the social dance floor. One of the recent ideas was to create a little video together with the live band to introduce Vilnius dancing scene and simply enjoy dancing to a great live music. St. Louis shag is a swing dance that evolved from Charleston. As its name suggests, it is recognized as being started in St. Louis, Missouri. It is a very fast closed position dance that is often done to up-tempo swing, rock’n’roll, stomp, jump, and boogie-woogie music.
