This is the fourth release of this series/ CD managed by Fabian Mroz, first Antares and “The Hitman“, followed by LeRa - “Ride The Wild Wind“ and Space Elevator - “Innuendo“.
“All God’s People“ was co-written by Mercury and Mike Moran, initially as part of Mercury’s Barcelona project under the title “Africa by Night“. He’d asked May to play guitar, then one thing led to another and the entire band played. The keyboard parts were played by Moran.
Similar to “Somebody to Love“ from A Day at the Races, “All God’s People“ has a strong gospel influence.
Queen sang about Jesus on their first album, and about God in this song from Innuendo, the last one released while lead singer Freddie Mercury was still alive. Mercury’s lifestyle was at odds with many traditional religious tenets, but here he points out a simple truth: we’re all God’s people. He was raised in the Zoroastrian faith, which dates back to at least 1000 BC.
Now „BPM – Beats per Munich“ presents a brand new version of this masterpiece for the upcoming album “A Tribute to Queen“.
“BPM - Beats per Munich“ is an international string ensemble consisting of Luciana Himmel (violin), Mariana Beleaeva (violin, viola), Shinnie Lee (viola) and Anna Rehker (cello). The musicians combine string sound with beats and perform both as a pure string quartet and with live drums. This extremely unusual combination is the group’s trademark.
