A Mighty Man Is He! (1928)

M/S of a man in shirt sleeves standing proudly behind a table of trophies and awards. He folds his arms, he is very muscular indeed! “No spreading chestnut tree overhangs his smithy.“ M/S of the blacksmith at work. He is seen inside his smithy. A young woman arrives on horseback. The blacksmith goes outside to inspect the horse. He lifts up one of the horse’s feet and inspects its hoof. The horse is led into the smithy. “Mr Price is a master of his craft. (Did you know that horse-shoeing was introduced here by William the Conqueror?)“ M/S of Mr J.C. Price at work. He heats metal then he and his assistant shape it on an anvil. C/U of the nail holes being made in the horseshoe. “How many of you have actually seen a shoe being made before?“ M/S of the shoe being pounded. M/S of Mr Price holding the horseshoe up for inspection. “Mr Price can turn his hammer blows to other useful purposes.“ C/U of Mr Price pounding a piece of metal until it is hot enough to light his cigarette with it! “T
