Restoration Of A Ruined Legend - Honda VFR 400 NC30 - Part 6

Well you asked for a longer episode so this one should make good on that at nearly an hour long! In this episode I tackle to massive job of reconditioning all of the engine parts and getting them put back together in the way Honda intended. The first stage of this process removing all of the scale build up from the water jacket, I done this by using a central heating cleaner in a bath of hot water and it done the job nicely. The casings were also all striped back to bare alloy and refinished to better than OEM spec and all of the mechanical parts have been inspected, cleaned, machined or replaced as necessary and all of that added up to one fully rebuilt engine that’s fit for another 40,000kms... hopefully.
