Drum solo on my Yamaha RC 9000 using only 4 mics

Hey there! I’ve been challenged on Instagram to let people know how ALL of my drum sets sound, and here we go with the first one: my Yamaha Recording Custom 9000 straight from the 90s! This one has been my first setup, as my father used to play these. It features an 18x14“ bass drum, 8“, 10“ and 12“ rack tom (power size) and a 16x16“ floor tom. The drums all mount Aquarian Texture Coated (single-ply), including the bass drum. The snare drum mounts a remo ambassador. Inside the kick I only have a remo muffling system leaning on the batter head, no other muffling, no holes in the resonant head. I’m using a reduced mic setup for two reasons: 1. As of now, I’m waiting to unlock the budget to expand my Audient iD44, so I’m stuck with only 4 channels 2.
