Fritjof Capra, The Tao of Physics - Science and the Ancient Wisdom

Wheaton, Illinois : Theosophical Society in America, 1977. (3 hours, 33 minutes) Fritjof Capra is the author of the best-selling book (1975) The Tao of Physics. Dr. Capra discusses some of the provocative ideas in his book. There are two kinds of knowledge: rational and intuitive. Though different from each other, they may be understood as complementary rather than diametrically opposed. Modern science operates within the rational framework while mysticism operates within the intuitive framework. This comparison is roughly analogous to the Chinese concept of the Yang (masculine) and Yin (feminine). Society has emphasized the Yang, but we are witnessing the beginning of a tremendous evolutionary movement characterized by new emphasis on the Yin or feminine aspect of life. A panel discussion with Dr. Renée Weber and Dr. Mel Melvin is included. A presentation of The Theosophical Society in America. Even deeper and simpler on this topic here Версия на русском здесь
