2024년 라마단 기간 시작 Muslims worldwide gathered at local mosques on Monday for the evening mass prayers called “Tarawih“ marking the first night of Ramadan. Many wished for peace in Gaza and prosperity in communities. In Jakarta, Indonesia, people crowded into the Istiqlal Mosque, the biggest mosque in southeast Asia. Indonesia has the largest Muslim population within a single country in the world. Most Muslim countries started Ramadan on Monday, but some countries such as Oman start Ramadan on Tuesday.
