The 2007 comeback fight of Roy Jones Jr against undefeated Anthony “The Tyger“ Hanshaw for the vacant IBC Light Heavyweight Title. In his last outing he fought Jean-Paul Mendy for the IBO World Super Middleweight title but came up short when the fight was declared a draw after 12 rounds. He had not fought anybody else of note and he had never held a title of any kind in his whole 22 fight career. A majority of his 14 KO wins had come within the first 3 rounds but not much else stood out about the near 30 year old fighter. Roy Jones was attempting a comeback after 12 months out of the ring. He was still looking to redeem himself from a 3 loss streak he suffered during 2004 and 2005 against Antonio Tarver (twice) and Glen Johnson.
