Spacex Starship Flight 3 Explained #spacex #starship #space

On March 14, 2024, SpaceX performed the third test flight of Starship. The lift-off, hot staging, boost back and Orbit insertion of starship was successful. However the booster failed to perform the landing burn and got destroyed. Similarily Starship struggled to maintain the correct attitude in orbit. This resulted in Starship not adopting the appropriate belly flop attitude for reentry. Consequently, different parts of the Starship were exposed to the atmosphere instead of just the heat shield. As a result, the vehicle only slowed down from 27,000 km/h to 26,000 km/h before signal loss, likely leading to Starship’s destruction due to the heat.
