Simba & Nala | Evermore (Beast’s lament)

Hey everyone! So, let’s talk about the best movie ever and why it’s Beauty and the Beast. After The lion king, of course. Well, it’s still the best princess movie anyway. Ok but for real the live action was SO pretty. I was so excited to watch it and I almost didn’t catch it on theaters but I’m glad I did because it was so much better than what I thought it’d be. Emma Watson is so perfect for Belle ahh. AND THE SONGS AND THE VISUALS. That was amazing. And we got to see Gaston’s death again in a completely new movie. That never ceases to be satisfying. For those of you who don’t know Belle is my favorite Disney princess (Then Mulan, then probably Pocahontas; but Belle’s always been number 1), and Beauty and the Beast is among my favorite Disney movies as well as my favorite princess movie. TLK remains my favorite movie tho. So what do I do? I do this. Because Simba singing Adam’s song is mixing up my two favorite princes together. This song has gotten me in love so badly. It never fails so send shivers down my spine and to make me tear up, if I’m being honest. As much as I love the cartoon, this new song really did flesh out Beast’s characters and showed just how much he fell for Belle and was going to miss her - a moment like this lacked in the cartoon. I also loved how he kept going up the tower to see Belle for as long as he could, ahh, that was beautiful! I love Adam so much. His character development is great, from how he went to a stubborn prince to lovely because of Belle, and she went from judgmental to sweet and accepting because of him. Same goes for Simba and Nala. I love them so much. They feel kind of perfect for each other because they make the other so happy. They deserve to much more attention and love. Can’t wait to see them in the live action ahhh. I love Simba just so much you don’t understand. So my persona is Nala and Belle is basically me from reading too much and being considered weird. This felt right. And they’re all kinda similar if you think about it. Adam/Simba ignore who they used to be because they felt like it didn’t matter, Nala/Belle come along, they fall in love, they fight, they get separate and then the girl comes back to him once more and they end up together. Best love story ever. For those who may need context: After letting Nala (Belle) go so that she can help her father, Simba (The beast/Adam) watches her leave as sings about his love for her, reminiscing the times before he knew her and the time they spent together while he’s tormented by the thought of never seeing her again. Any scenes with Kiara are supposed to be Nala; Black&White/Blurred scenes are either imagination or flashbacks. I think it should be easy to understand, but if you don’t, just ask!
