How to render road markings in 3ds Max - Getting started with RailClone Part 10

In this tutorial, we’re going to use RailClone in conjunction with V-Ray distance texture to create several different types of road markings. Including a solid single line, a dashed single line, a double solid line, a double dashed line, a dashed and solid line, and its opposite, a solid and dashed line. We’ll also create a style that can fill areas with a lined outline. It goes without saying that this style is fully parametric, and once created it can be used again and again. Unlike decals, it can also efficiently create markings of any shape 00:00 Introduction 00:40 Creating a single road line 02:51 Creating the material 06:56 Adding additional colours 08:06 Creating a dashed road line 09:35 Creating a double road line 11:45 Creating a double dashed road line 12:05 Creating a dashed and solid road line 13:19 Select from the styles using a Selector operator 14:00 Creating drop-down lists 15:15 Creating a hatched fill road marking style 18:48 Conclusion
