According to the Henley report, the index’s grading methodology gives customers a practical overview of their passport’s power. Each passport is rated on the number of visa-free places it can access. The Henley Passport Index compares 199 passports’ visa-free access to 227 locations. For each place where a visitor’s permit, visa, or electronic travel authorization (ETA) may be issued on arrival, a passport receives one point. According to accounts, easing the foreign travel prohibition has helped passports recover.
