Olga Martinova Olga Martinova was born into a family of musicians in Leningrad. She began playing the violin at the age of five and gave her first public performance at seven. After completing training at a special music school for gifted children, she went on to the Leningrad Conservatory, where she graduated from the class of Professor Mikhail Waiman. She then continued to study under Professor Boris Gutnikov and soon distinguished herself by winning the all-Russian, the all-Union and International competitions. In 1979, she emigrated to the West. She has been touring throughout Europe, the USA, Canada, Mexico, Israel and Japan and participated in numerous international festivals. Her performances consistently received outstanding reviews. Olga Martinova has performed in venues such as Carnegie Hall, Alte Oper Frankfurt, Concertgebouw, The Auditorium and Saint-Petersburg Philharmonic Hall.
