LIVE: Japan Airlines A350 airplane on fire at Tokyo airport

A plane carrying almost 400 people has caught fire on the runway of Tokyo’s Haneda airport. Televised images on Tuesday showed a large burst of fire erupt from the side of a Japan Airlines plane as it landed. Initial reports claim that JAL flight 516, an Airbus A-350, was travelling from Shin Chitose airport, near Sapporo, the capital of the mountainous northern Japanese island of Hokkaido, when it apparently struck a Coast Guard plane. Five of the six people aboard the smaller aircraft are unaccounted for, local media reported.
