Yamaha Stage Custom Hip - Recorded in my home studio

So I bought this kit from my local store (please support your local store), and took it for a spin in my home studio. Its a great value for money kit, and so much fun. As a secondary kit for lazy rehearsals or that small club gig, its perfect. This is pretty much straight out the box, just changed heads on the toms to Remo coated Emperor. I use Lewitt mics on overheads (LCT640x2), Lewitt 240 x 2 in the room next door, a Shure 57 on the snare of course, Lewitt DTP 340 on the toms, a Shure 52 closer to the bass drum and a Warm Audio WA47 about 20 inches/50 cm from the bass drum, kind of center of the drum to get the warmth and lovely low frequencies from the tube. All thru WA-273-EQ (BD), WA-412 (toms), UA 4-710D (Snare and OH), and a Focusrite Clarette for the room and converter. Next to none plug-ins in Pro Tools, a bit cutting in the 350-400 area, boosting a bit in the 60´s, and a little bit of compression on the bus.
