Canada’s Century of Submarines

Submarines in the recent Canadian context have been met with indifference at best and at times ardent opposition. The misfortunes of the Victoria-class submarines and doubts over the affordability of future naval capacities have raised the question of whether Canada still needs submarines. To celebrate the centenary of Canadian service in submarines, three panelists discuss Canada’s relationship with submarines.
