LOLLAR PICKUPS - Telecaster Pickup Comparison

TIMESTAMPS BELOW In this video, we compare and contrast our four most popular Telecaster pickup sets: the Special T, Vintage T, ’52 T, and Alnico 3. We installed these pickups into a Nash Guitars T63. Each set is played clean -- without effects or manipulation -- straight into a Fender Black Panel Vibrolux-Reverb Amp. All of the three pickup selection positions (neck; neck and bridge; bridge) are played with both fingerpicking and plectrum/pick-strummed techniques, in both rhythm and lead playing styles to showcase their tonal characteristics, relative output, frequency response, dynamic response, and overall reaction to player input.
