MOZART | Piano Concerto in A major K 488 II. Adagio - Maxim Emelyanychev & Il Pomo d’Oro

The symphonies are the focus of this project that the ensemble of ’Il Pomo d’Oro’ has realised together with conductor and keyboardist Maxim Emelyanychev. A project that aims to provide a complete set of Mozart’s symphonies. The approach is original: each volume contains one of Mozart’s first symphonies, together with one of his great symphonies of his maturity, allowing the listener to perceive his many facets, revealed in the course of his evolution. Each volume also includes a bonus work with a special guest. To open the series, Maxim Emelyanychev himself provides the hors d’œuvre with the Concerto no. 23 , performed on a fortepiano, before moving on to conduct Mozart’s Symphonies no. 1 and no. 41, his first and his last, as the main course of this delicious banquet.
