14 of February, 1950: The USSR and the People’s Republic of China sign the Sino-Soviet Treaty of Friendship, Alliance and Mutual Assistance. The Treaty had effectively fallen apart by 1954 due to the Sino-Soviet split, but technically expired in 1979. This song was written in the USSR in 1947, with music by Vasily Solovyov-Sedoi and lyrics by Alexsandr Galich. It was sung commonly by the Komsomol.
