Potassium Hydroxide (KOH) Examination in Fungal

KOH Examination of Hairs, Nails and Skin Lesions, we use this test to detect the type of fungi which is causing infection in root of hairs, nails and skin. We use 10 % KOH (potassium hydroxide) solution, because it dissolves all tissue leaving behind only fungal hyphae which are examined under microscope.
