Israel is Flooding Hamas Tunnels with Seawater

These unverified videos supposedly show Israeli soldiers using seawater pumps to flood Hamas’ tunnels. Israel has confirmed that it has now started flooding Hamas’ tunnel network with water from the Mediterranean Sea. The objective appears to be to render the tunnels permanently inoperable and to ‘flush out’ Hamas fighters. In response, a Hamas spokesperson claimed it was fully prepared to defend against Israeli attempts to flood the tunnels. In recent days the Israel Defense Forces have posted videos it claims show large numbers of Hamas fighters surrendering. It’s thought many of the remaining Israeli hostages are still being held in the tunnels, so flooding the tunnel network is incredibly risky.
